10/04/1924 - 04/05/2008Although I didnt agree with Mr. Hestons conservative personal views, I do feel it is necessary to acknowledge his film career as an icon of 1950's cinema.
In 1959, Mr. Heston won the Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of Ben-Hur.
I still have this vivid memory of when I was a child watching "The Ten Commandments". The scene when Moses(Heston) parts the Red Sea,was a moment in film I found to be amazing.
I wonder how Mr. Heston, the former president of The National Rifle Association, will feel when he finds out "there are no guns in heaven"?
