Quincy Jones speaks the truth about his late friend and collaborator Michael Jackson in the latest edition of Details magazine.On the subject of Jacko's lightening skin:
"He'd come up with, 'Man, I promise you I have this disease. I have a blister on my lungs.' All of that was b.s. Michael was a Virgo—very set in his ways. You couldn't talk him out of it. I don't believe any of that bullshit, no. I've been around junkies all my life. I've heard every excuse. You're justifying something destructive to your existence. It's ridiculous, man. Chemical peels. I don't understand it. He obviously didn't want to be black."
