Paul Newmans Legacy....
In Paul's words: "I wanted to acknowledge luck; the chance and benevolence of it in my life, and the brutality of it in the lives of others, who might not be allowed the good fortune of a lifetime to correct it."
Paul took advantage of what life offered him, and while personally reluctant to acknowledge that he was doing anything special, he forever changed the lives of many with his generosity, humor, and humanness. His legacy lives on in the charities he supported and the Hole in the Wall Camps, for which he cared so much.
We will miss our friend Paul Newman, but are lucky ourselves to have known such a remarkable person."

A Letter from Michelle Obama....
In about a month, Americans will head to the polls to cast their votes for the next president of the United States. It will be a momentous day. But this presidential election has already changed our country in profound ways. The candidacies of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have smashed old barriers and broadened opportunities for all Americans. And I’m grateful to them -- both as a citizen and as a parent of two young girls.
But our country’s journey toward equality is not finished. It’s been five years since Lawrence v. Texas. It’s been 39 years since Stonewall. And we still have more work to do before we achieve equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Americans.
Election Day offers an opportunity to take another crucial step toward equality. Millions have joined this movement for change. People are hoping again -- believing again -- that we can come together to create a stronger, fairer nation. And on November 4 we’ll have a chance to put that hope into action.
Translating hope into action is something Barack has done for his entire career.
Barack and I met in Chicago 20 years ago. He thought the best way for me to know him was to get a sense of the work he cared about most. After college he had worked in neighborhoods that were devastated when steel plants shut down and jobs dried up. He’d been invited back to speak to people from those neighborhoods about how to create new opportunities for their families. He asked me to come with him.
I watched as Barack took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves, and instantly connected with every person in that room. He gave the most eloquent talk about “the world as it is” and “the world as it should be.”
Too often, he said, we accept the distance between the two, and we settle for the world as it is -- even when it doesn’t reflect our values and aspirations. But he reminded us that we know what fairness and justice and opportunity look like. And he urged us to believe in ourselves and find the strength to strive for the world as it should be.
Barack Obama, the 2008 presidential nominee, is the same man I fell in love with on that day 20 years ago. He has never stopped pursuing that better world.

TRAVIS BARKER and DJ AM CRITICALLY INJURED IN PLANE CRASH....
From Channel WIS10 in Coloumbia South Carolina -
Officials with the Columbia Metropolitan Airport say a small jet has crashed killing four.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reported seeing sparks. She says the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.
Federal officials say two crew members and two passengers have been killed.
Officials say two people have survived the crash and have been carried to the Augusta Burn Center.
Officials at the Augusta Burn Center say they have Travis Barker, the former drummer from the band Blink-182, and Adam Michael Goldstein, aka DJ AM. Both are in critical condition. Barker and Goldstein were in Columbia Friday night for a concert at Five Points.
William Owens was driving down Highway 302 when he saw a fireball go across the road.
"I didn't know what I had seen -- it was maybe 800 feet in front of me, but as I approached it closer though I made out a fire. By then I was able to see the tail of the jet and I recognized it as a jet," Owens said.
Owens then described what he saw when he made it to the wreckage.
"It's in flames and the fuel is running across the road and I had to cross the fuel to get to the two guys that seemed to have been dumped on the highway," Owens said.
Owens said the two men were running around trying to extinguish themselves. Owens said he asked the men if there was anyone else on board the plane and they said four more were with them.
"We turned to the jet to try and see if there was anything we could do, but immediately, there was nothing anyone could do," Owens said.

WONDER WOMAN on PALIN....
"Don't get me started. She's the anti-Wonder Woman. She's judgmental and dictatorial, telling people how they've got to live their lives. And a superior religious self-righteousness ... that's just not what Wonder Woman is about... Doesn't mean that I'm godless. Doesn't mean that I am a murderer. What I hate is this demonization of everybody but one position. You're un-American because you're against the war. It's such bullshit!. Fear... It's really such a finite way of thinking about God to think that your measley little mind can know the mind of God. It's a very little God that way. I think that God's bigger. I don't presume to know his mind. Or her mind.

Scientology Fuckery Exposed....Part 1 & 2 ....
Fuckery:
noun: derivative of the word fuck
Absolute bullshit; utter nonsense; something rather suspicious that can bring forth uneasy, angry, or irritated feelings. The stunt pulled by people who don't know how to tell the truth or enjoy messing with people's heads as a hobby.
"You can only get away with that kind of fuckery for so long before it turns around and bites you in the ass."

MARGARET CHO HAS MORE TO SAY ABOUT PALIN....
"I think Sarah Palin is the worst thing to happen to America since 9-11.
She also sees Palin as anti-gay:
"The reach of homophobia and hatred is so wide, it's disturbing how deep it is. Now with Sarah Palin, who is so anti-gay and advocated camps for them to go to be brainwashed, she is a real sign of something very wrong with this country, a real problem. We are battling homophobia on so many fronts."

Celine Dion - " A Well Oiled Machine"....
Last night, I went to see Celine Dion with my good friend Rafael at MSG....and Celine's voice was ON FIRE!!...not one bad note....beautiful, powerful, clear, emotional and over the top, just what you expect from Celine Dion. I think that Celine sings so well LIVE ,that people actually forget what a monumental task she accomplishes vocally in two hours! With a massive stage production, backup singers, dancers and band, it was Rafael that said as we were leaving the venue "Celine Dion and her concert is a well oiled machine"....
Overall, I thought her performance was amazing....she definitely has been touched by Vegas and there lies my one criticism, "Sometimes less is more"....I preferred the moments when it was just Celine, a spotlight and her voice....magic.
Celine does not disappoint!
Bravo!
Rafael took this picture from our seats!
